If you know how, then you can read the soap-box with an XML feed reader. If you have no idea what that is - fear not help is at hand.
Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.
From the book of Matthew Chapter 10 verses 6 to 10.
Books!
We all have them. We read them and enjoy them. We are blessed by them and given fresh hope and greater learning.
...and then we put them on a shelf and hide them away from our friends. There they gather dust and slowly turn yellow waiting for the time when we will read them again. We look at our books thinking "that was good" or "read it already" and that is the end of them.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Have you been blessed by a good christian book? Do you like to read?
If we all took one book and passed it on to one other person everyone would get a new book to read. Maybe one they would never have purchased otherwise and each of us is enriched just a little bit more.
Christians know that: give and it shall be given unto you pressed down and shaken togeather. Let us give books if only to bless others and let God alone keep track of them.
Who knows what might happen when we release the wealth we have hidden on earth.
Once you have read the book you were given quickly go and find another person and give it to them so that they might enjoy the book too. Think of the book as a seed. It is but one book in your hand but pass it to another and who can tell what may grow.
Even if you choose just one book not to gather dust but pass on the blessing and in passing it on you will release more of the same to come to you.
In order to help with this giving a document has been prepared with some prewritten messages that can be inserted into gift books. These messages encurage others to pass on the blessing and in doing so enable you give a free gift to a total stranger.
We have chosen to use an Open Document Standard which will require Open Office 2.0 or the latest Microsoft Office to read. In order to get the message to as many as possible we shall try to convert the document to PDF or an image format at a later point.
Someone who would enjoy it.
Some one who, perhaps, could not afford the book or might not be able to get to a book shop. Someone who needs cheering up. Perhaps it is time to talk to that person you see every week at church and never speak to.
Some one who has given you a book.
Any one able to read.
If you have no idea pray then look arround. We ive in a very full world but there are many people who feel unnoticed. Pick them.
