I'm not. I love Christ, sure but I'm no christian.

I'm simply not a "little christ" - I sin, I cock things up, I lust, I swear and I generally dislike christianity. However God's son Jesus changed my life totally.

Perhaps I am part of what some people call "the emerging church" (although I loath labels at the best of times)?. Maybe I'm just part of a growing number of people who realise that Jesus didn't come for good people - he came for sinners. He came for scum, he came for loosers, he came for devorced, rejected and smelly people.

He came for those who don't know what to do any more.

He came for the pointless people that sit at the back of the church and never have anything of interest to say to th people who sit at the front. He came for the people that the church leadership are ashamed of. He came for the drunk that staggers in on a sunday and is silently shown the door.

He came for the girl no one noticed sitting at the back of your little church jacked up on coke weeping inside and looking for some reason to not OD and end it all. The girl that was too tatty to talk to. The one the mums carefully kept thier kiddies away from and the youth leader was worried about even though they carefully managed to not notice her. The same girl that, the next day, looked for hope in a book on tarrot cards.

Jesus came not for saints but for hell worthy liers, cheats, bullies, drunks, drugies, theives, rapests, confused, broken or otherwise worthless souls.

Jesus came for civil servents. Jesus came for gamblers. Jesus came for men, women and children who smell bad and have no friends. He came for people that murdered, raped, killed, stole, betraied, maimed and hurt because they just needed to lash out and couldn't say why.

He came for those that had been betraied, maimed, raped, robbed, cheated, and hurt.

He came for people to F'd up to cope with life.

For those that feel they are coping, for those that think they are doing ok and don't need God he didn't come for you. If you feel you can help yourself go and get on with it and give your place in the line to some-one else.

He came for "the broken".

He came for sinners. Everyone else can go to hell.
