It has been a good long while since updates were posted here.

This is not because the site ahs been forgotten but that we have all felt the need to reconsider the method of implimenting the vision.

We shall all return soon.

Site Updates

I have been called in to assist with the recover process after the defacement of the site.

I choose not to place faith in the claims of the motives of the script kiddies that did it.

Fortunatly the damage was mostly cosmetic and no lasting damage was done to the core.

The site will undergo a few small changes designed to harden the defences against such attacks. Regular readers and users should notice no addtional changes.

Considering: new email news group

Up for consideration is a new service - an email message group.

Such a group allows people to sign up and unsubscripe at will and choose to have every message emailed to them or just a digest of the days talk.

This will enable public discussion where you do not need to visit a web page but simply use your favourate email client.

The software we would use will stop users email addresses being made public, even to other users.

The hope is that each member can help by offering help and support to each other.

What is the feeling of the sites users on this?

Rules of Conduct

It would seem sensible to lay down a few guidelines as to what the administrative team find acceptable and what they do not.

Posts

When posting an article in any of the available pulpits on this site we expect the message to be broadly related to the subject matter.

Purely political or commercial posts are not acceptable and adverts or so called affiliate links are not to be posted. Despite the minimal adverts that aim to pay some of the costs here we are not a commercial site.

Subject matter should be generally suitable for the whole family. What you post might be read by your mum, grandma, little sister, spouse or vicar so don't type anything that you might be ashamed to show such people.

Comments

Comments should follow the guidelines laid out for posts.

When commenting try to make your point in a positive and non threatening manor. If possible try to find something encouraging to say. If you do have any criticism to make try to make it in a constructive manor.

No spam.

No hate, "flames" or personal attacks.

Prophesy

As a public pulpit we expect that there might be those who wish to publish prophetic messages. We trust those that publish them to be publishing prophetic words that they themselves have received rather than rehashing the latest buzz from a mailing list.

We expect those that publish and those that read to spend a few moments testing such messages against the Word of God.

As readers we are required to exercise descernment and not accept every message without question.

On the other hand it is perfectly acceptable to say "I feel that God might be saying ..." and even if you are unsure it is better to speak up and risk blessing and encouraging others than to not. How will you know if it is God or man speaking if you do not first share what you have been given?

Dreams and Visions

God does speak in dreams and visions and it would be normal for a person moving in the gifts of the spirit to receive such communications.

We ask that those who have received such message spend time before God seeking an understanding and interpretation before sharing the dream or vision.
